The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has launched an investigation into the discovery of ammunition in the Onsky municipality under Article 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia. Information about this is disseminated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the agency, on August 20 this year, in the village of Ori, Oni municipality, near the so-called. “occupation line”, where warning banners are installed, on metal poles, based on operational information, alleged ammunition was found – explosive devices similar to hand grenades of the “F-1” type.

“The Police Department of Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia launched an investigation into the discovery of ammunition in the Onsky municipality under Article 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

The police immediately began investigative and procedural actions. During the investigation, with the participation of sappers, training-noise hand grenades were seized for the so-called. “airsoft” grenades similar to the “F-1” type grenades, which were destroyed by sappers on the spot for safety reasons.

The investigation into the fact of the discovery of ammunition continues under Article 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia,” the disseminated information says.
