As Interpressnews was told by the State Security Service (SSS) of Georgia, the illegal borderization carried out near the occupied village of Okona is a continuation of the illegal process that began in April 2021.
“The illegal borderization carried out in the occupied territory near the village of Gremiskhevi is a continuation of the illegal process started in 2021.
Regarding these cases of illegal so-called. borderization, a hotline has been activated and the EU monitoring mission has been informed. The information was passed on to the co-chairs of the Geneva International Discussions.
All facts of illegal borderization are discussed at meetings of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism, as well as at international discussions in Geneva. The process of illegal so-called. borderization complicates the daily life of local residents and damages the security environment, the full responsibility for this lies with the occupation regime,” the State Security Service says.
