The United States is preparing to transfer additional military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of about $775 million. The package, in particular, will include ammunition for HIMARS, drones and missile systems. This is reported by American journalist Caitlin Doornbos.
A Pentagon official, who wished to remain anonymous, noted that the United States had prepared a large aid package for Ukraine.
The package will include:
Ammunition for HIMARS
– 16 105-mm howitzers and 36 thousand artillery shells for them
– 15 Scan Eagle drones
– 40 MRAPs (Mine and Ambush Protected Armored Vehicles)
– High-speed anti-radiation missiles
– TOW missile systems
– 1000 additional Javelin anti-armor systems
– 2000 anti-armor shells
“We have seen how Ukraine masterfully uses HIMARS on the battlefield. This long-range fire capability has really changed the dynamics on the battlefield, so we want to make sure Ukraine has a steady stream of ammunition to meet its needs,” the Pentagon said.
He noted that the US will continue to provide munitions for HIMARS on a regular basis.
