Invaders kill animals with their actions at Zaporizhzhia NPP
Russian invaders, through their actions at Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), are causing damage not only to the infrastructure of the NPP but also to the environment and animals.
Source: Energoatom, Ukraine’s National Nuclear Energy Generating Company.
“For example, due to the mining of the perimeter around the NPP, at least 30 instances of dogs, foxes and wild boars stepping on mines and detonating them have been recorded over the past 3 months,” the Ukrainian company notes.
Earlier, because the units of the temporarily occupied ZNPP were put into cold shutdown, the temperature in the cooling pond dropped to +13 degrees, which led to mass deaths of fish.
