Decision on Nika Gvaramia case to be announced on November 2

The Tbilisi Court of Appeal will announce its decision on Nika Gvaramia’s case tomorrow, November 2. According to Mtavari Arkhi, the announcement of the decision is scheduled for 11 am.

The panel of judges, consisting of Merab Jorbenadze, Lavrenti Maglakelidze and David Mamiseishvili, began discussing the decision on October 24.

On May 16, the Tbilisi City Court sentenced Nika Gvaramia, director general of the Mtavari Arkhi TV company, to 3 years and 6 months in prison for causing damage to the Rustavi 2 TV company. The defense considers this sentence absurd.
