The growth of the Georgian economy in August amounted to 10.5%

According to a preliminary estimate by the National Statistical Service of Georgia (Sakstat), in August 2022, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the economy grew by 10.5%, and the average for the first eight months of 2022 was 10.3%.

According to Sakstat, in August 2022, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the following industries made a significant contribution to the growth of the overall indicator: transport and warehousing, construction, information and communications, hotels and restaurants, and trade. The downward trend was observed in the field of production and activities related to real estate.
