We have allocated police, military and security services, and from January the salaries of all their employees will be increased by 20%, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said at a government meeting.

As the prime minister explained, funding for the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Security Service will increase by 490 million lari.

“In a few weeks, we will start building the Police Town. More than 1,000 police officers will receive apartments, and this, of course, will be a long-term program. I want to emphasize that this is not a one-time program. Also, for the development of infrastructure, it is planned to repair police buildings, build and repair bases, weapons, equipment, new cars, etc.,” Garibashvili said.
