Ten people were injured due to overnight shelling by Russian invasion forces of a residential area in the city of Enerhodar.

“As of this morning, we definitely know that about 10 Enerhodar residents who received numerous shrapnel wounds of different severity degrees as a result of the nighttime shelling of the residential districts of Enerhodar. Two of them were taken to the intensive care unit in a serious condition,” Dmytro Orlov, the Mayor of Enerhodar, wrote on Telegram.

According to Orlov, at least 20 cars were destroyed or damaged.

“Obviously, this is how the Russians ‘developed’ their scenario on the eve of the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) delegation’s arrival at the Zaporizhzhia NPP. A direct threat to the lives of the civilian population does not stop the terrorists,” Dmytro Orlov added.

On the morning of Monday, August 29, the Director General of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, reported that the delegation was on its way to the nuclear power plant in Enerhodar captured by Russian troops.

“This day has come – the IAEA support and assistance delegation is now on its way to the ZNPP. We must ensure the safety of the largest nuclear facility in Ukraine and Europe. I am proud to be leading this mission, which will take place at the ZNNP later this week,” reported Rafael Grossi.

According to The New York Times, the IAEA delegation includes 13 experts from mostly “neutral countries.” Representatives of the U.S. and UK won’t be taking part in the mission to Zaporizhzhia NPP.
