do not offer us compromises with conscience, territorial integrity or sovereignty

Instead of offering premature peace talks with a Russia that is not committed to a peace process, the partners’ goal should be a Ukrainian victory that will bring sustainable and just peace to the European continent. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba in a video message to the participants of the anniversary congress of the Pan-European Union, which is held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the organization in Vienna, European Truth reports.

“We need a win, not a draw. If Russia is allowed to pause now, Putin will create a frozen conflict in the middle of Europe, a giant time bomb ready to explode at any moment. It would be a strategic mistake for Europe to pursue such a goal. I warn Ukraine’s partners: do not offer us compromises with conscience, territorial integrity or sovereignty. Because it will also be your compromises with your own security,” he said.

According to Kuleba, no country in the world strives for peace like Ukraine, but “such wars as this should end with the victory of good over evil.”

He urged partners to work together to achieve the goal of Ukraine’s victory.

According to the minister, now is the time for partners to set the goal of Ukraine’s victory and work to achieve it, instead of looking for premature peace agreements with Russia, because Moscow has not changed its ultimatum tone and is using statements about its alleged readiness for negotiations only as a cover for continued aggression.

“The real peace will be brought by the Ukrainian victory. This goal is quite achievable, as the Kharkov and Kherson operations proved this autumn. A victory for Ukraine will also be a victory for Europe and the West. It will restore peace and security to our continent for decades to come. In addition, it will bring a long period of international stability, because it will become clear that aggression is not an effective tool to achieve goals in the 21st century. This is the result we should all strive for, and this is the way to a real, lasting and just peace,” Dmitry Kuleba emphasized.
