Today, 112,733 Russian citizens are living in Georgia. 711 Russian citizens have already registered as legal entities. 9,789 as individual entrepreneurs. This was reported by the TV channel Mtavari Arkhi with reference to the state register of Georgia.
The statistics take into account the period from March 1 of the current year to October 12.
At the same time, according to the information, 2,585 citizens of the Russian Federation bought about three thousand apartments and 249 land plots.
After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Georgia has become one of the most popular relocation destinations for Russians. The second, last wave of emigration came at the announcement of mobilization in Russia. For many months, the opposition has been demanding from the authorities the introduction of control mechanisms and even a visa regime.
