Members of the National Security Council of Georgia gathered for the first time since December 2021

A meeting of the National Security Council was held today under the chairmanship of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili. Security Council members gathered for the first time since December 2021.

President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili did not take part in the meeting. She is not a member of the National Security Council. However, in March of this year, speaking in parliament, she announced the need to hold an expanded meeting of the Security Council.
