According to the head of the Labor Inspection Service, Beka Peradze, after the entry into force of the Law on Labor Protection, the number of deaths due to industrial accidents has decreased by 31 percent.
As Beka Peradze explained during the presentation of the 2021 report in Parliament, the mentioned statistics are the main measure of the effectiveness of the implemented measures.
In addition, according to the Labor Inspection Service, the report details the main violations that were identified during 2021 in the area of labor protection.
As mentioned, in 2021, the Labor Inspection Service conducted 1,074 security checks at 446 sites.
