In her statement, Mamulashvili explains the reasons why she entered politics and states that the 10th parliament is the most shameful parliament in the history of Georgia’s independence.
As for the National Movement, according to Mamulashvili, there has been no politics in the party for a long time, and systemic problems do not give it the opportunity to renew and improve.
“Two years ago I entered politics and parliament with the sole purpose of working for the pro-Western development of the country, i.e. to create an economically strong, fair and secure environment.
The Parliament of the 10th convocation is the most shameful parliament in the history of independence, which is confirmed by only 16% of the population’s confidence. The majority of this parliament signed up for the destruction of the European future of the country, and thus betrayed the spirit of the parliaments of all previous convocations and, most importantly, the will of the people.
As for the National Movement, there has been no politics in the party for a long time. Systemic problems do not provide an opportunity for renewal and recovery. The tragedy is that everyone and no one is to blame at the same time, which further exacerbates the political impasse.
Today, as in 2020, I have the same simple goal – action. I see that today there are more opportunities to work in the interests of this country outside of party politics,” writes Mamulashvili.
According to Mamulashvili, she is joining the Prospekt platform, where, together with Georgian, European and American friends, they are working to launch a large-scale international project that the country needs, the purpose of which, “of course, will be to fight for the country’s western future.”
