Fortifications are being built in liberated parts of Donetsk Oblast

Ukrainian authorities, in coordination with the military, are building defensive fortifications in the liberated territories of Donetsk Oblast.

Quote: “We started to construct fortifications literally from the first month of the full-scale Russian invasion, and this work is ongoing. And the liberated territories are no exception.

There, in coordination with the military command, we are taking additional measures to build defensive fortifications, including on the territory of liberated settlements.”

Details: Kyrylenko has emphasised that immediately after the liberation of the city of Lyman and the start of stabilisation work, the authorities took into account the risk of repeated Russian attack on the liberated city.

 Kyrylenko also reported that  the liberated cities of Sviatohirsk and Lyman were reconnected to the power grid.
