868 persons returned to Georgia within 3 months within the framework of readmission

In the third quarter of this year, 868 people illegally residing abroad were returned to Georgia within the framework of readmission.

According to the statistics of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, during the mentioned three months (July, August, September), a total of 873 applications for readmission were considered, of which 868 were approved, and 5 were rejected.

It should be noted that most of all – 525 citizens were readmitted to Georgia from Germany. Then come France (176), Greece (33), Poland (33), Switzerland (23), Spain (17).

It should be reminded that the readmission agreement between Georgia and the EU came into force in March 2011. It involves the return to Georgia of its citizens illegally residing in the EU.
