A passenger who fell onto the rails at the Freedom Square metro station in Tbilisi has been taken to a clinic.

As the press service of the Tbilisi Metro told Interpressnews, he is receiving medical assistance.

As for the metro, its work has been partially restored.

Only “Svoboda Square” is closed, where investigative actions are currently underway.

“We lifted a passenger, this is a young guy. The most important thing is that he is alive. He was transferred to the “Georgian American Clinic”. The metro has been opened, however, the reception of passengers at Freedom Square has been temporarily suspended due to investigative actions,” the Tbilisi Metro said.
