Georgian judoka Beka Gviniashvili won a gold medal in the 90 kg weight category at the Grand Slam tournament in Abu Dhabi.
In the final, he defeated the Frenchman Loris Taseer with an ippon completed in 43 seconds.
Before the final bout, Gviniashvili defeated Vugar Talibov from Azerbaijan in the first round, and Vahid Borchashvili from Austria in the second round. In the quarterfinals, Gviniashvili defeated the representative of Greece Theodoros Tselidis, in the semifinals, the Georgian judoka defeated Serb Nemanya Maidov.
