Following other leaders and officials of the Georgian Dream, Minister of Justice Rati Bregadze also criticized the statement of Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the presidential administration of Ukraine. The minister called one of Arestovich’s latest statements about Georgia “criminal”.

“It would be nice [Арестовичу] learn more about international law and international relations and stop making such criminal statements,” said the head of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.

According to Bregadze, “any person, especially a person who has the right to give advice to anyone, should know that one of the fundamental principles of international law is the prohibition of the use of force, as well as the threat of its use.”

“This person probably doesn’t know anything about it and it’s naturally difficult to make any serious comments on this topic,” Bregadze added.

According to Rati Bregadze, Georgia is doing everything possible to “take the side of the Ukrainian people, starting with humanitarian aid and ending with support for Ukraine in international forums.”

“It is very sad and incomprehensible for such a person to make such a statement, which we can safely say that it is of a criminal nature,” said Rati Bregadze.
