Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, has called for Russia to be deprived of its permanent seat on the UN Security Council due to its numerous war crimes, reports European Pravda.

“After committing the crime of aggression against Ukraine, numerous war crimes, [and] undermining global food and energy security, should Russia still be a permanent member of the UN Security Council?” the minister tweeted.

He also recalled that the Russian Federation has dubious legal grounds for being on the UN Security Council.

Reminder: Speaking at a meeting of the UN Security Council almost immediately after the start of the full-scale invasion, Serhii Kyslytsia, Ukraine’s permanent representative to the UN, raised the issue of the legality of the Russian Federation succeeding the USSR as a member of the UN Security Council.
