Juansher Burchuladze met with Chairman of the NATO Military Committee

The Minister of Defense of Georgia, who is on a visit to Brussels, met with the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee. The Ministry of Defense of Georgia disseminates information about this.

Juansher Burchuladze thanked Admiral Rob Bauer for his strong support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, as well as its integration into NATO.

As Juansher Burchuladze noted at the meeting, the “Document on assistance measures taking into account the interests of Georgia” adopted at the Madrid summit, its implementation in practice helps to increase the defense capability of Georgia and bring the sphere of defense and security closer to NATO standards.

One of the topics of conversation at the bilateral meeting was the security situation in the region, Russia’s military aggression in Ukraine and the challenges facing Georgia.

According to the Minister of Defense, against the backdrop of the security situation and challenges in the region, close cooperation with international partners is very important.

On October 12-13, the Kingdom of Belgium hosts a meeting of NATO defense ministers.

As part of his visit to Brussels, the Minister of Defense took part in a meeting of the contact group on Ukraine in the Ramstein format and met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
