Air Astana has received the Skytrax award as the best airline in Central Asia and the CIS for the 10th time

The flagship of the civil aviation of Kazakhstan was awarded the prestigious Skytrax award for the 10th time. In 2022, Air Astana won the “Best Airline in Central Asia and the CIS” nomination, and for the first time in its history won the “Best Service in Central Asia and the CIS” nomination. The honorary award ceremony took place on September 23, 2022 in London.

The winners of the Skytrax award were determined by a passenger survey method. Over 300 airlines were assessed between September 2021 and August 2022. More than 14 million people from 100 nationalities took part in the survey. Respondent responses were provided in English, French, Spanish, Russian, Japanese and Chinese. The survey participants evaluated the airline’s website, check-in and boarding, the cleanliness of the aircraft cabin, entertainment on board, the appearance of flight attendants and service, the quality of food, the comfort of the seats, and more.

In 2011, the airline for the first time received the Skytrax award in the category “Best Airline in Central Asia and India”.

In 2012, Air Astana was the first airline in the CIS and Eastern Europe to be awarded the 4-star Skytrax award.

In 2021, Air Astana passed the Skytrax certification for preventing the spread of COVID-19 following an audit in May-June 2021.

From 2013 to 2015, she also received the Skytrax award in the nomination “Best Service in Central Asia and India”.
