The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, in an interview with Politiko said that he supports the opening of the doors of the European Union for citizens fleeing Russia.
According to Michel, the European Union should be open to those who do not want to be a tool in the hands of the Kremlin.

“I think that the European Union should accept those who are in danger because of their political views. If people in Russia are in danger because of their political views, because they do not want to give in to the Kremlin’s crazy idea of starting a war in Ukraine, then we must take this into account, ”said Charles Michel.
The ambassadors of EU member states on Monday will discuss the issue of opening doors for citizens fleeing Russia.
