From September 1 to November 30, applications for the student funding program are being accepted. Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze stated this at today’s meeting of the city government.
Applications can be submitted by socially vulnerable students, members of large families and students with disabilities. The program can also be used by first-year students.
The mayor’s office provides this category of students at all three academic levels (bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral studies) with funding for the fall semester of the 2022-2023 academic year.
And distinguished undergraduates of the State University are given financial incentives – a scholarship from the Tbilisi City Hall.
In the 2021-2022 academic year, 3964 students received financial support from the capital’s mayor’s office. Of these, 2962 students received funding for their studies, and 1038 undergraduates received scholarships.
