As Irakli Garibashvili noted, the polemic between the members who left Georgian Dream and the US Ambassador is not in the interests of the country.
“I want to remind all our fellow citizens that we are a small state, we are steadily developing our country. I, as Prime Minister, our management team are obliged to ensure that the country develops stably, for this it is necessary to have strong allies. Such as the USA, the European Union, the European states. Our small state with a very strong people cannot achieve great success without partners and allies,” Garibashvili said.
According to him, after the restoration of independence, the United States implemented a number of important positive projects in Georgia.
“We respect America and its representatives, we have close cooperation, Ms. Degnan is a very active ambassador, she participates in all projects implemented by America, but I think that with such a debate we will not strengthen our relations with America, but weaken them. Therefore, my wish as Prime Minister is to treat these relations even more carefully. We face many challenges, our country is occupied, we need to work hard on this. We need the development, strengthening, prosperity and strengthening of these relations,” Garibashvili said.
