Russian forces shell Orikhiv, Zaporizhzhia Oblast for 14 hours: 2 children suffer contusions

Russian forces shelled the city of Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia Oblast for 14 hours on Sunday, 28 August. Two children suffered contusions, their mother also sustained injuries.

Three-year-old Yaroslav and six-year-old Oleksandra suffered contusions as a result of the attack. Their mother suffered a closed brain injury.

All of them received timely medical assistance. All those who sustained injuries were hospitalised in Zaporizhzhia where they are receiving necessary treatment. Their condition is satisfactory.” 

Details: Starukh stated that Russian forces fired over 200 shells on Orikhiv in the past 6 hours.

“The middle of the city has suffered the most extensive damage. Central [Orikhiv] is on fire,” he added.
