Traffic will be limited due to EuroBasket matches

“In connection with the qualifying match of the World Basketball Championship on August 24 from 14:00 to 22:00, and in connection with the match of the European Championship from 11:00 to 00:00 on September 1, the traffic mode on Universitetskaya Street will be changed, and traffic will only be allowed in one direction,” the Tbilisi City Hall reports.

According to the City Hall, in addition, a similar restriction will be in effect from 11:00 on September 3 to 00:00 on September 4 and from 11:00 on September 6 to 00:00 on September 7. During the specified period of time, the transport will move only in one direction.

“Vehicles will be able to move from Politkovskaya Street towards Tamarashvili Street, and vehicles from Tamarashvili Street will be prohibited from turning onto Universitetskaya Street. Drivers will be able to move from Tamarashvili Street towards Universitetskaya Street along Vazha-Pshavela Avenue and Sandro Euli Street.

From Universitetskaya Street it will be possible to move in the direction of Daneliya Street, and from Daneliya Street Vehicles will only move in the direction of Tamarashvili Street.

Public transport will not be affected by these restrictions and will move according to the established pattern,” the information released by the Tbilisi City Hall says.
