The chairman of the United National Movement, Nika Melia, speaks about the outflow of personnel from law enforcement structures and states that “the police are required to carry out so many illegal assignments that the department’s employees prefer to leave the country or move to another job.”

As Melia said at a briefing held in the office of the party, the force that will come after the change of power will do everything to ensure that the police fight criminals, and not again with opponents of the government.

“In the Ministry of Internal Affairs there are hundreds of reports on dismissal from the service, which are not satisfied, but many run away without asking. There is so much hopelessness in the country, hopelessness, and they are required to carry out so many illegal orders that even in conditions of unemployment, they themselves leave the service, someone leaves the country, and someone is looking for another job,” Melia said.

According to him, “in this country, the oligarch and his former head of the security service, Gomelauri, created a system, a regime built precisely on this cornerstone – illegal actions and criminal inaction.”

In addition, the chairman of the “National Movement” at a briefing drew attention to the salary of Georgian policemen, noting that it is “ridiculous and humiliating.”
